Gettysburg

We had a great trip (more pictures will be forthcoming). We were able to stop by Gettysburg on the way home and it was a powerful experience.

This is the field of Pickett's Charge. I cannot imagine charging that hill. The marker at the right is where CSA Brigadier General Lewis Armistead fell.

This statue is of Major General George Meade, Commander of the Army of the Potomac. It faces the field of Pickett's Charge.

We were only able to spend a couple of hours here and I can't wait to go back and see more.
